{"id":1596,"date":"2025-02-04T16:42:11","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/23\/people-keep-their-weird-snack-habits-secret\/"},"modified":"2025-02-04T16:42:11","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:11","slug":"people-keep-their-weird-snack-habits-secret","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/04\/people-keep-their-weird-snack-habits-secret\/","title":{"rendered":"People keep their weird snack habits secret"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2024-09-23 16:11:08<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>More than a quarter of Brits keep their guilty pleasure snack habits a secret.<BR><br \/>\nA new study has found four in five of us like to experiment with unusual flavours, but when it comes to unconventional food combinations, 27 per cent of those wouldn&#8217;t dream of tucking in in public, and 15% wouldn&#8217;t even do so in front of their partners.<BR><br \/>\nAmong the unusual combinations the LNER study discovered were crisps and chocolate (32 per cent), chips and milkshakes (20 per cent) and cheese and bananas (19 per cent).<BR><br \/>\nOther stomach-turning suggestions included tuna and marmite, gherkins dipped in peanut butter, and mashed bananas with HP sauce.<BR><br \/>\nThe survey came as LNER are teaming up with Dame Prue Leith to serve up some unusual food combinations for the public to try at Newcastle station on 4 October.<BR><br \/>\nThe &#8216;Great British Bake Off&#8217; judge said: \u201cTrain food has come a long way since my campaigning days 40 years ago as part of my position on the board of British Rail. <BR><br \/>\n&#8220;It\u2019s wonderful to see rail companies really pushing themselves to provide fresh, creative and local on-board menus&#8230; and I can\u2019t wait to taste these unexpected creations made by LNER\u2019s suppliers!\u201d <BR><br \/>\nThe event is being launched in celebration of LNER\u2019s onboard menus, which offer a rich tapestry of food sourced from local suppliers all across the country.
