{"id":2246,"date":"2025-03-12T12:44:12","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T12:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/12\/some-gen-zers-hate-the-phrase-thank-you\/"},"modified":"2025-03-12T12:44:13","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T12:44:13","slug":"some-gen-zers-hate-the-phrase-thank-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/12\/some-gen-zers-hate-the-phrase-thank-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Some Gen Zers hate the phrase &#039;thank you&#039;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-03-12 12:44:12<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Some Gen Zers feel uncomfortable when people say &#8220;thank you&#8221;.<BR><br \/>\nBank Nationwide polled 2,000 Brits on the way the nation says thank you in 2025 and the findings show that one in five (18 per cent) of those born between 1995-2012 do not like it when someone compliments them with the phrase.<BR><br \/>\nThe results also showed that over half (55 per cent) feel like they\u2019re receiving thanks less these days, with 46 per cent claiming people don\u2019t make time to express their gratitude.<BR><br \/>\nThose living in Brighton, Manchester, and Bristol are the most thankful &#8211; with them saying the phrase 15 times a day.<BR><br \/>\nHowever, 15 per cent admit they say &#8220;thanks&#8221; at least once a day &#8211; but they do not mean it.<BR><br \/>\nThe poll comes as broadcasting legend Sir Trevor McDonald delivered a \u00a3600 million-plus message of thanks to the nation as part of &#8216;The Big Nationwide Thank You&#8217;.<BR><br \/>\nIt sees one in five Brits sharing in over \u00a3600 million as a \u2018thank you\u2019 from Britain\u2019s biggest building society for helping build the financial strength needed to purchase Virgin Money.<BR><br \/>\nCatherine Kehoe, Chief Customer Officer at Nationwide, said: \u201cOur members are at the heart of what makes Nationwide a good way to bank, so when we profit, so do they. <BR><br \/>\n&#8220;They have helped make us even stronger and able to deliver even greater value by acquiring Virgin Money, so we wanted to share a thanks back to them all in a truly nationwide way. <BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Whether they save or spend their \u00a350 we hope it goes some way to showing our appreciation.\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025-03-12 12:44:12 Some Gen Zers feel uncomfortable when people say &#8220;thank you&#8221;.
