{"id":2872,"date":"2025-06-19T13:08:31","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T13:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/19\/flesh-eating-worms-are-on-the-loose-in-texas\/"},"modified":"2025-06-19T13:08:32","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T13:08:32","slug":"flesh-eating-worms-are-on-the-loose-in-texas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/19\/flesh-eating-worms-are-on-the-loose-in-texas\/","title":{"rendered":"Flesh-eating worms are on the loose in Texas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-06-19 13:08:30<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Texas has been invaded by &#8220;demonic&#8221; flesh-eating worms.<BR><br \/>\nThe wriggling horrors, with heads shaped like miniature hammers, can grow up to a foot long and drag themselves into yards and driveways, much to the surprise of local residents.<BR><br \/>\nThe worms release a neurotoxin that can irritate human skin and sicken pets that nibble on them. <BR><br \/>\nOne resident even said seeing them felt like &#8220;the end times\u2026 even the worms are demonic&#8221;.<BR><br \/>\nTerrifyingly, a new worm emerges if the creatures are cut in half.<BR><br \/>\nOfficials in the US state warn: &#8220;Cut it, now you\u2019ve got two.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nPeople have been urged to spray the worms with salt vinegar before placing them in a plastic bag and are advised not to use gloves or a paper towel when moving the invertebrates to avoid skin irritation.<BR><br \/>\nChris Girard, a resident of Texas state capital Austin, said: &#8220;I found three of these hammerhead worms on my front porch!<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;They are toxic to the touch and are harmful to humans and pets alike. I killed these with salt&#8230; they shrivelled up quickly.
