{"id":2982,"date":"2025-07-10T11:01:37","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T11:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/10\/police-called-to-literal-traffic-jam-after-juicy-incident\/"},"modified":"2025-07-10T11:01:39","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T11:01:39","slug":"police-called-to-literal-traffic-jam-after-juicy-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/10\/police-called-to-literal-traffic-jam-after-juicy-incident\/","title":{"rendered":"Police called to literal &#039;traffic jam&#039; after &#039;juicy incident&#039;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-07-10 11:01:36<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Police have been called to a literal &#8220;traffic jam&#8221; on a highway in British Columbia.<BR><br \/>\nThe Mission RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) &#8211; which &#8220;proudly [polices] the District Municipality of Mission&#8221; and other areas in the region &#8211; couldn&#8217;t resist having a laugh after &#8220;spilled blueberries&#8221; caused an issue for drivers.<BR><br \/>\nIn a lighthearted Facebook post about the &#8220;traffic jam&#8221;, the authorities said: &#8220;On the evening of June 29, a white Ford pickup \u2013 full of crates of freshly-picked blueberries \u2013 pulled up to the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Wren Street.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Moments later it pulled away, but\u2026not all of the blueberries went with it.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Some crates went crashing down onto the roadway, and thousands of blueberries spilled out onto Lougheed Highway, creating a sticky mess for vehicles that drove over the fruit.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Mission RCMP were called to the juicy incident, and used a shovel to clear the mess from the roadway.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nThey confirmed that the driver of the truck &#8220;received a ticket for having an insecure load&#8221;, but the police were still able to see the funny side.<BR><br \/>\nThey continued: &#8220;And just as some people might turn lemons into lemonade, Mission RCMP would love to put an equally positive spin on things, as losing all those fresh blueberries was such a shame \u2013 even the ones squish-squashed by passing vehicles.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Perhaps Mission RCMP could team up with the Mission Farmer\u2019s Market in the future, to feature some new offerings such as: Jack-Knife Jelly, Pothole Preserves, and the ever-popular\u2026Traffic Jam!&#8221;<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025-07-10 11:01:36 Police have been called to a literal &#8220;traffic jam&#8221; on a highway in British Columbia.
