{"id":3172,"date":"2025-08-12T11:11:48","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T11:11:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/12\/new-app-lets-people-buy-tickets-for-strangers-wedding\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T11:11:49","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T11:11:49","slug":"new-app-lets-people-buy-tickets-for-strangers-wedding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/12\/new-app-lets-people-buy-tickets-for-strangers-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"New app lets people buy tickets for strangers wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-08-12 11:11:48<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A new app allows couples to sell invites to their wedding to total strangers.<BR><br \/>\nInvitin founder Katia Lekarski founded the startup earlier this year after realising she isn&#8217;t invited to as many weddings as she&#8217;d like.<BR><br \/>\nAs reported by The Guardian newspaper, the platform sees people buy tickets to weddings to help with the cost, while getting a chance to mingle with other guests.<BR><br \/>\nLekarski told the outlet: &#8220;I was renting my house in south-eastern France to some people who were attending a wedding, and my five-year-old daughter asked: \u2018Why aren\u2019t we also invited to weddings?\u2019<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;I thought: what if we could pay for tickets to a wedding and help the couple getting married in that way?\u201d<BR><br \/>\nInvitin takes commission, with a small number of paid guests attending each wedding.<BR><br \/>\nGenerally, there could be five to 10 paid strangers at one of the ceremonies, costing an average of \u20ac100 to \u20ac150 per guest.<BR><br \/>\nTickets can cost more depending on the wedding in question, while the add-ons much agree to strict rules.<BR><br \/>\nAs well as following the dress code and turning up on time, the ticket-buyers have to drink in moderation, and can&#8217;t share any photos without permission.<BR><br \/>\nMeanwhile, the couple getting married aren&#8217;t required to actually talk to the paying guests on the day.<BR><br \/>\nLekarski added: &#8220;A wedding has its own ecosystem where guests get chatting to each other of their own accord.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nParisian couple Jennifer and Paulo signed up to invite a few strangers to their wedding, which already has 95 of their family and friends in attendance.<BR><br \/>\nShe said: \u201cI thought: \u2018Woah, that\u2019s quite something\u2019, having people you don\u2019t know at your wedding.<BR><br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s not only about the money, which is a drop on a hot stone in terms of the overall wedding cost, although it will help a bit in terms of the cost of things like decoration and the dress.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;It\u2019s also because we thought it could be fun and we\u2019re extroverted and open to sharing things.\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025-08-12 11:11:48 A new app allows couples to sell invites to their wedding to total strangers.
