{"id":3177,"date":"2025-08-12T11:34:35","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T11:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/12\/runaway-pig-escapes-childrens-birthday-party-and-crashes-local-high-school\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T11:34:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T11:34:37","slug":"runaway-pig-escapes-childrens-birthday-party-and-crashes-local-high-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/12\/runaway-pig-escapes-childrens-birthday-party-and-crashes-local-high-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Runaway pig escapes children&#039;s birthday party and crashes local high school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-08-12 11:34:35<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Police were called after a pig escape a children&#8217;s birthday party and crashed a local high school.<BR><br \/>\nEvanston Township High School in Illinois revealed the slippery swine &#8211; whose name is Wilbur &#8211; had been &#8220;seeking refuge&#8221; on campus.<BR><br \/>\nThey wrote on Facebook over the weekend: &#8220;Message from our Safety Department:<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;This morning, our Safety star received multiple calls about a fugitive pig seeking refuge at the Home of the Wildkits.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;After a short (and slippery) pawsuit, the elusive subject was safely apprehended and taken to the Evanston Animal Shelter.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Huge thanks to EPD for making sure the situation didn&#8217;t go completely hog wild.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nThe Evanston Police Department arrived on the scene and took the animal to the shelter, where executive director Vicky Pasenko realised it had escaped from a child&#8217;s party.<BR><br \/>\nAdults from the bash arrived at the shelter but weren&#8217;t allowed to take the pig with them, as they rented the animal.<BR><br \/>\nPasenko noted that pigs aren&#8217;t legal to keep in Evanston city, while animal warden Perry Kabula confirmed the animal will either be returned to its owner or found a new home.<BR><br \/>\nIn the meantime, Wilbur is staying at the shelter in his own pen, complete with fresh vegetables, two towels, water to drink, and a lot of attention.<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025-08-12 11:34:35 Police were called after a pig escape a children&#8217;s birthday party and crashed a local high school.
