{"id":3350,"date":"2025-09-11T16:04:56","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T16:04:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/11\/mosquitoes-are-attracted-to-beer-drinkers\/"},"modified":"2025-09-11T16:04:57","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T16:04:57","slug":"mosquitoes-are-attracted-to-beer-drinkers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/11\/mosquitoes-are-attracted-to-beer-drinkers\/","title":{"rendered":"Mosquitoes are attracted to beer drinkers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-09-11 16:04:55<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Mosquitoes like to bite people who drink beer.<BR><br \/>\nScientists at Radboud University in the Netherlands asked 500 people at a music festival to be exposed to thousands of female mosquitoes.<BR><br \/>\nEverybody involved filled out a questionnaire about their hygiene, diet and behaviour at the festival before placing their arm into a custom-made cage full of the blood-sucking insects.<BR><br \/>\nThe mosquitoes were able to smell the person&#8217;s arm but could not bite it, with a video camera recording how many attempted bites took place.<BR><br \/>\nIt was revealed that those who drank beer were 1.35 times more attractive to the insects than those who did not.<BR><br \/>\nThe boffins said: &#8220;We found that mosquitoes are drawn to those who avoid sunscreen, drink beer and share their bed.
