{"id":3424,"date":"2025-09-25T11:06:41","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T11:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/25\/greggs-opens-first-ever-pub\/"},"modified":"2025-09-25T11:06:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T11:06:43","slug":"greggs-opens-first-ever-pub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/25\/greggs-opens-first-ever-pub\/","title":{"rendered":"Greggs opens first ever pub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-09-25 11:06:40<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Greggs has opened its first ever pub offering sausage rolls, bespoke beers and even a Sunday carvery built around its famous bakes.<BR><br \/>\nThe Golden Flake Tavern, located inside the Fenwick department store in Newcastle, will serve its first pint on Saturday (27.09.25).<BR><br \/>\nIt features a cocktail list inspired by the high street bakery, plus two exclusive beers brewed with Full Circle Brew Co, and a menu of 15 pub-style dishes.<BR><br \/>\nHannah Squirrell, customer director at Greggs, said: \u201cFollowing the success of previous collaborations, we\u2019re thrilled to be launching our third landmark venture together.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;The Golden Flake Tavern brings a fresh twist to the traditional British pub experience and we hope everyone who joined us before, along with many new faces, will come along to enjoy this unique Greggs experience.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nThe pub can host up to 88 diners, with extra space at the bar for those after a pint with their sausage roll.<BR><br \/>\nAmong the highlights are chicken bake Parmo, steak bake mixed grill, sausage roll and mash and a Greggs ploughman\u2019s platter, with desserts including yum yum bread and butter pudding and a pink jammie trifle made with doughnut pieces, jam, custard and cream.<BR><br \/>\nThe pub\u2019s Sunday carvery offers steak, chicken or cheese   onion bakes as the centrepiece, with Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes on the side.<BR><br \/>\nTo add to the atmosphere, quiz nights will run every Tuesday from October 7, with tickets priced at \u00a35 for teams of up to six.<BR><br \/>\nThe Golden Flake Tavern is the latest in a series of collaborations between Greggs and Fenwick, following Bistro Greggs in 2023 and the Greggs Champagne Bar in 2024, which welcomed 8,000 guests in just nine weeks.<BR><br \/>\nLeo Fenwick, strategic partnerships director at Fenwick, said: \u201cThis latest collaboration celebrates the best of both brands, pairing Greggs\u2019 much-loved classics with our own distinctive approach.
