{"id":3426,"date":"2025-09-29T12:01:41","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:01:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/29\/pet-bobcat-on-loose-in-minnesota\/"},"modified":"2025-09-29T12:01:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:01:42","slug":"pet-bobcat-on-loose-in-minnesota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/29\/pet-bobcat-on-loose-in-minnesota\/","title":{"rendered":"Pet bobcat on loose in Minnesota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-09-29 12:01:40<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A pet bobcat is on the loose in Minnesota.<BR><br \/>\nThe Roseau County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, located in the north of the state, took to Facebook on Thursday (25.09.25) to share that the state Department of Natural Resources got a report to say the animal had escaped from its owner in Warroad.<BR><br \/>\nCaptioning a photo of the bobcat, the post read: &#8220;A pet bobcat was reported to the Minnesota DNR to have escaped from its owner near Warroad, MN today, 9\/25\/25.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nAnd the Roseau County Sheriff&#8217;s Office is urging residents not to approach it and to contact law enforcement if the bobcat is spotted.<BR><br \/>\nThe post continued: &#8220;If you see the animal, do not approach it and call the Minnesota DNR or the Roseau County Sheriff&#8217;s Office. Sheriff&#8217;s Office 218-463-1421.  DNR 507-285-7186.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nThe alert sparked over 100 comments.<BR><br \/>\nOne user said: &#8220;Asking for a friend \u2026 where does someone acquire a pet bobcat?&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nA second person wrote: &#8220;He&#8217;s beautiful! Hope he&#8217;s found and gets home safe.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nAnd a third follower penned: &#8220;How can they legally keep a wild animal as a pet?<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;I hope it didn\u2019t escape in town because I don\u2019t want it killing my little dog.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nBobcats are regulated animals in Minnesota &#8211; but they are not allowed to be kept as pets, except if owners have state-issued permits, or are for accredited zoos and wildlife sanctuaries.<BR><br \/>\nIt is not known if the bobcat&#8217;s owner has permits for the animal.<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025-09-29 12:01:40 A pet bobcat is on the loose in Minnesota.
