We found that women are more likely to retaliate with aggression than to initiate aggression.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nThe research involved 104 participants, who were paired up for a Competitive Reaction Time Task \u2014 a psychological test where players race to hit a button after seeing the word &#8220;GO!&#8221;.<BR><br \/>\nWinners were allowed to blast the loser with a loud sound for five, 10, or 15 seconds.<BR><br \/>\nAfter 30 rounds, men consistently chose higher sound levels than women, regardless of pairing.
