{"id":3503,"date":"2025-10-13T12:01:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T12:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/13\/parents-have-no-clue-how-much-sleep-their-children-are-getting\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T12:01:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T12:01:15","slug":"parents-have-no-clue-how-much-sleep-their-children-are-getting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/13\/parents-have-no-clue-how-much-sleep-their-children-are-getting\/","title":{"rendered":"Parents have no clue how much sleep their children are getting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-10-13 12:01:12<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Parents do not realise how much sleep their children are getting.<BR><br \/>\nA Brown University, Rhode Island, study &#8211; published in the journal Frontiers in Pediatrics &#8211; revealed that 83 per cent of mums and dads think their bundles of joy are getting the correct amount of sleep, but 14 per cent of children achieved sleep guidelines.<BR><br \/>\nIt comes as researchers tracked how 102 elementary school youngsters, aged between five and 11, slept during a week.<BR><br \/>\nProfessor Diane Grigsby-Toussaint, of Brown University, Rhode Island, said: &#8220;What parents often don&#8217;t see is how long it takes for kids to fall asleep or how often they wake up during the night.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nAccording to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children aged between six and 12 should sleep between nine and 12 hours per night.<BR><br \/>\nHowever, the data showed that the children were getting an average of eight hours and 20 minutes of sleep.<BR><br \/>\nThis is more than an hour less than what parents estimated &#8211; over nine and a half hours each night.<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025-10-13 12:01:12 Parents do not realise how much sleep their children are getting.
