{"id":3615,"date":"2025-11-04T14:30:48","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T14:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/04\/virgin-hotels-launches-dog-tv-channel-to-keep-them-calm-on-bonfire-night\/"},"modified":"2025-11-04T14:30:50","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T14:30:50","slug":"virgin-hotels-launches-dog-tv-channel-to-keep-them-calm-on-bonfire-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/04\/virgin-hotels-launches-dog-tv-channel-to-keep-them-calm-on-bonfire-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Virgin Hotels launches dog TV channel to keep them calm on bonfire night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2025-11-04 14:30:47<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Virgin Hotels London\u2013Shoreditch has launched a dog TV channel to help soothe anxious pups during Bonfire Night \u2014 one of the most stressful evenings of the year for pets.<BR><br \/>\nThe \u201cCalm for Canine\u201d channel, available in all pet-friendly rooms, features relaxing scenes of dogs sprinting across fields and beaches, rabbits nibbling carrots, and red squirrels splashing in water \u2014 all set to calming classical music. <BR><br \/>\nThe footage uses blues, yellows, and greens, colours most visible to dogs, to keep furry guests captivated.<BR><br \/>\nThe initiative comes after new research by Virgin Red, the Virgin Group\u2019s loyalty programme, found 87 per cent of dog owners avoid taking their pets into cities during fireworks displays. <BR><br \/>\nTwo-thirds said they \u201cdread\u201d November 5 because of how frightened their pets become.<BR><br \/>\nA Virgin Hotels spokesperson told The Sun: &#8220;Fireworks night causes great nervousness for our four-legged friends and their owners, especially in cities like London. <BR><br \/>\n&#8220;That\u2019s why we\u2019ve gone the extra mile to ensure our furry guests can come and live a VIP lifestyle with us on any day of the year.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nThe hotel\u2019s canine offering also includes a luxury pet menu, with scampi fries and chicken-flavoured \u201cbark brew\u201d dog beer. \u201cWe don\u2019t just allow pets \u2014 we spoil them,\u201d the spokesperson added.<BR><br \/>\nThe survey of 1,000 dog owners revealed that 73 per cent said loud bangs trigger anxiety in their pets, while nearly a third said their dogs bark excessively throughout the night.
