Finally it jumped off &#8211; by then I was full of blood.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nJoan Heblack also recalled the horror of her morning walk through Lucas Valley when the pest &#8220;clamped&#8221; onto her leg. <BR><br \/>\nShe said: &#8220;The tail was flying up here. I was like, &#8216;Get it off me, get off me!&#8217; <BR><br \/>\nHeblack\u2019s leg was left bloodied and bruised, and she ended up in the ER. But she wasn\u2019t the only victim. <BR><br \/>\nFlyers have since been pinned to lampposts warning residents about the \u201cgoldish-coloured\u201d menace, which locals say has attacked up to five people. <BR><br \/>\nIt\u2019s also become a viral talking point on the neighbourhood app Nextdoor, where users are comparing bite marks and swapping survival tips.<BR><br \/>\nWildlife experts say the culprit probably isn\u2019t rabid &#8211; just hangry. <BR><br \/>\nVanessa Potter from WildCare explained that when baby squirrels are hand-fed, they often grow up to associate humans with food. <BR><br \/>\nShe said: &#8220;If they don\u2019t get it, there can be frustrations.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nResidents are now keeping their eyes peeled for fear of further attacks. <BR><br \/>\nCampoy added: &#8220;It hurts to touch the skin.
