{"id":4017,"date":"2026-02-04T14:04:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T14:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/04\/food-experts-reveal-calorific-full-english-breakfasts-contain-superfood\/"},"modified":"2026-02-04T14:04:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T14:04:14","slug":"food-experts-reveal-calorific-full-english-breakfasts-contain-superfood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/04\/food-experts-reveal-calorific-full-english-breakfasts-contain-superfood\/","title":{"rendered":"Food experts reveal calorific Full English breakfasts contain \u2018superfood\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-02-04 14:04:11<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>The calorific Full English breakfast actually contains a hughly under-rated superfood, food experts insist.<BR><br \/>\nResearchers have revealed fry-up staple black pudding is so healthy people should also be adding it to salads.<BR><br \/>\nMatthew McDermid from The Bury Black Pudding Company said: \u201cMost people mistake the flecks of white in black pudding to be fat.  <BR><br \/>\n\u201cWhile a small few are, in reality, most are grains of barley, which is a superfood in itself. <BR><br \/>\n\u201cBarley is one of the best grains for your health, providing blood glucose stabilisation, cardiovascular protection and cancer prevention. <BR><br \/>\n\u201cThis ancient grain serves as more than just a bulky filler. <BR><br \/>\n\u201cIt contains a higher amount of dietary fibre than any other grain, plus it may also promote gut health, so it really is going the extra mile to boost your health.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nMatthew added part of his mission is to break the \u201cstereotypes\u201d around black pudding by showing how it can be used to jazz up other meals, from sausage rolls to linguine dishes.<BR><br \/>\nHe added: \u201cEating black pudding can be as simple as including a couple of slices in a full English.<BR><br \/>\n\u201cHowever, there are plenty of lesser-known healthy recipes that include the incredible superfood, such as black pudding and beans on toast, black pudding and caramelised apple salad \u2013 and  even black pudding oysters.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nMatthew says black pudding from his company contain less than 3 percent fat, and stresses it is also naturally high in essential minerals, iron and zinc.<BR><br \/>\nScientists say iron is essential for a healthy body as it helps us metabolise proteins and plays a vital role in the production of haemoglobin and red blood cells. <BR><br \/>\nZinc helps maintain an active immune system, aids healing and helps the body to break carbohydrates. <BR><br \/>\nIt is also protein-rich with over 7g of protein per portion.<BR><br \/>\nMatthew\u2019s black pudding claim comes after a growing number of studies say eating red meat in the likes of fry-ups may not be as bad as previously thought.<BR><br \/>\nWhile some research links eating it to cancer and heart disease, more and more food boffs are now saying the risks aren\u2019t clear-cut.<BR><br \/>\nThey have highlighted how the likes of beef, lamb, goat, venison and pork are stuffed with nutrients such as zinc and iron. <BR><br \/>\nOne analysis of 20 studies has found eating around 160g of red meat a day \u2013 equal to around half a steak \u2013 did not make much difference to blood pressure, though there was a small rise in \u201cbad\u201d cholesterol.<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2026-02-04 14:04:11 The calorific Full English breakfast actually contains a hughly under-rated superfood, food experts insist.
