{"id":4208,"date":"2026-03-13T12:01:44","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T12:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/03\/13\/stowaway-fox-travels-to-new-york\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T12:01:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T12:01:45","slug":"stowaway-fox-travels-to-new-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/03\/13\/stowaway-fox-travels-to-new-york\/","title":{"rendered":"Stowaway fox travels to New York"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-03-13 12:01:43<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A stowaway fox travelled more than 3,000 miles to New York.<BR><br \/>\nThe red fox managed to sneak onboard a cargo ship which left Southampton, England, on 4 February and was discovered by the crew while travelling to the Port of New York and New Jersey.<BR><br \/>\nThe vessel reached its destination on 18 February and officials brought the creature to the Bronx Zoo the following day.<BR><br \/>\nDespite his lengthy journey, the 11lb male fox, who is estimated to be two years old, appears to be in good health after early examinations.<BR><br \/>\nKeith Lovett, the zoo&#8217;s director of animal programs, is quoted as saying: &#8220;\u201cHe seems to be settling in well.
