{"id":4465,"date":"2026-05-07T16:02:34","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T16:02:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/07\/florida-woman-finds-alligators-fighting-on-her-porch\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T16:02:36","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T16:02:36","slug":"florida-woman-finds-alligators-fighting-on-her-porch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/07\/florida-woman-finds-alligators-fighting-on-her-porch\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida woman finds alligators fighting on her porch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-05-07 16:02:34<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A woman in Florida found two fighting alligators when she went to confront a home intruder.<BR><br \/>\nKayla Burress, who lives in Ave Maria, Florida, was with her sleeping baby when she heard a disturbance on her screen porch, and went to investigate.<BR><br \/>\nShe told WINK-TV: &#8220;I thought somebody was breaking in because I never thought that the gators were going to enter my porch.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nInstead, she stumbled on two fighting &#8216;gators, who had shredded through the mesh during their bloody brawl.<BR><br \/>\nShe added: &#8220;It definitely looked like they were fighting over territory or something.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;It wasn&#8217;t like a mating ritual that I had seen, because there was blood and it had it some hind quarters, like in its jaws through the door.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nMating season for alligators, during which time they&#8217;re known to known be more aggressive and territorial, typically starts in April and runs until September.<BR><br \/>\nKayla got footage of one of the gators biting the other reptile&#8217;s tail, while a licensed trapper turned up to take the animals away.<BR><br \/>\nShe admitted: &#8220;It was scary.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nIn the wake of the terrifying incident, Kayla has a word of warning to nearby residents.<BR><br \/>\nShe said: &#8220;I just warned everybody else in the neighbourhood, like, watch your kids. Watch the dogs.
