{"id":4486,"date":"2026-05-12T07:01:49","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T07:01:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/12\/itchy-down-there-epidemic-leaves-women-squirming\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T07:01:51","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T07:01:51","slug":"itchy-down-there-epidemic-leaves-women-squirming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/12\/itchy-down-there-epidemic-leaves-women-squirming\/","title":{"rendered":"Itchy \u2018down there\u2019 epidemic leaves women squirming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-05-12 07:01:48<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Britain could be facing an \u201citch epidemic\u201d after a study found more than eight in 10 women suffer irritation after shaving their pubic area.<BR><br \/>\nResearch involving 2,000 women revealed 86 per cent have been left battling uncomfortable symptoms including itchy skin, rashes and painful irritation after grooming \u201cdown there\u201d.<BR><br \/>\nMore than half said itching was their biggest complaint, while 37 per cent reported suffering rashes.<BR><br \/>\nThe problem appears particularly severe among younger women, with 81 per cent of Gen Z respondents admitting post-shave irritation affects their mood throughout the day.<BR><br \/>\nSome confessed the urge to scratch had struck in deeply awkward situations, including at work, during exercise and even on public transport.<BR><br \/>\nThe study found 41 per cent had desperately wanted to scratch while exercising, while 44 per cent experienced the same problem at work.<BR><br \/>\nShockingly, half of those surveyed admitted they use the exact same razor on their pubic area as they do on the rest of their body.<BR><br \/>\nNow influencer and presenter GK Barry has stepped in to tackle the taboo after being appointed Gillette Venus\u2019 \u201cChief Pubic Officer\u201d.<BR><br \/>\nShe took to the streets of Shoreditch, London, to quiz women about their grooming routines and encourage more open conversations about intimate shaving struggles.<BR><br \/>\nGK Barry said: &#8220;I\u2019m buzzing to be Venus\u2019 Chief Pubic Officer &#8211; what a role! Queens, we\u2019re all doing it and we all know that post-shave itch feeling so it\u2019s time to do something about it and enter our smooth era.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;I\u2019m a pretty open book, but even for me, chatting about what happens down there can feel intimidating but it shouldn\u2019t have to.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;I\u2019m genuinely obsessed with the new Venus range and the difference it has made &#8211; my pubes say thank you!
