{"id":4756,"date":"2026-07-01T12:01:31","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T12:01:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/01\/cat-breaks-world-record-with-28-toes\/"},"modified":"2026-07-01T12:01:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T12:01:33","slug":"cat-breaks-world-record-with-28-toes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/01\/cat-breaks-world-record-with-28-toes\/","title":{"rendered":"Cat breaks world record with 28 toes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-07-01 12:01:31<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A cat has been named a Guinness World Record holder after being born with 28 TOES. <BR><br \/>\nThe 10-month-old kitten, called Toby, has tied with Canadian cat, who landed the record back in 2002, after a veterinarian confirmed the bizarre birth defect. <BR><br \/>\nCats are traditionally born with 18 toes, with any more than that meaning that felines with extra toes are known as polydactyl. <BR><br \/>\nSpeaking about Toby\u2019s toes, owner Delaney Henderson, from Michigan, told the Guinness World Records: &#8220;When I first saw his toes, I really couldn&#8217;t believe what I was seeing,. Having another polydactyl cat, I was expecting the extra &#8216;thumbs,&#8217; but nothing could&#8217;ve prepared me to see Toby&#8217;s paws.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nDespite having some extra digits, Delaney insisted Toby isn\u2019t in any discomfort due to it. <BR><br \/>\nShe said: \u201cHe is in great health, and beyond a thorough nail trimming &#8211; he has 30 claws as well &#8211; he is a regular kitty with no extra concerns.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nDelaney also said she knew when she met Toby that he was destined to be her cat, with the feeling solidified when she heard his adorable purr.<BR><br \/>\nShe smiled: \u201cI I had a gut feeling when I met him that he was meant to be in my life, and I am so grateful to have given him a forever home.<BR><br \/>\n\u201cWhen he isn&#8217;t being a ball of energy, he is such a big baby.
