A huge black creature which “moved like a person” has been spotted in a field in Ohio fuelling speculation a Bigfoot could be on the loose in the state.

\nDakota Monroe has revealed he saw a strange creature moving across farmland in Toronto, Ohio on a sunny morning back in March and he reported the sighting to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) because he was so spooked.

\nHe wrote: “I dropped my buddy off at the farm house down the road from the property [where] we hunt in Toronto, Ohio. It was around 8:30am.

\n“He was picking up a tractor, I dropped him off and continued up the road 600 yards to the property. I pulled up the driveway to the … hangar.

\n“I looked out the field about 350-400 yards right about where the field rolls off the backside. I [saw] something black standing there.

\n“Now once I spotted it. It started moving, right away I knew it wasn\u2019t a deer or a turkey or a coyote it was way too big.”

\nDakota added: “It took a couple steps, now while I could not see its legs I knew it was moving across the field. It went about 15 yards and stopped for a few seconds.

\n“Which at the time I looked down for my binos [binoculars] which I did not have. And when I looked back up it continued on and was gone in about five seconds.

\n“Now it moved like a person, but was taller and black. And [it] wasn\u2019t the shape of a bear on 4 legs it was long and upright. Then encounter in total was about 15 seconds.

\n“I\u2019ve been in the woods hunting since I was 12. I\u2019ve seen deer, bear, elk, coyotes, dogs, just about everything the woods around here have. And I can for certain say that this was none of that.”

\nBFRO Investigator James Thompson met up with Dakota at the scene of the sighting and he also had his own spooky encounter.

\nHames wrote: “I arrived first and parked to the rear of an airplane hanger alongside a hilltop airstrip. I got out of my truck and walked to the front of the hanger to wait on the witness. He had sent me a pin, so I was able to look out over the field in the direction of the sighting.

\n“At first I thought he was punking me because at the end of the field was a tall black object that I thought was a Bigfoot silhouette. I watched it for a few minutes and it didn’t move so I thought it might be a very large game feeder.”

\nJames then met with Dakota to explore the area where the original sighting took place, but he soon realised the “Bigfoot silhouette” he’d spotted earlier had vanished,

\nHe added: “Before we drove out to the crest of the hill I asked him to come over to the front of the hangar so I could point out what I was looking at when I arrived.

\n“When we got to where I was standing, the object that was there 20 minutes earlier was gone.”

\nJames added the day took another interesting turn when his girlfriend, who was waiting for him in his truck, called him to say she’d spotted something moving close to the top of the hill.

\nHe added: “I was moving making a grid search looking at the ground when my phone rang. It was my girlfriend who was back in my truck watching me.

\n“She said that she could see something black, low to the crest of the hill behind me near the tree line. By the time I turned to look it was gone. I went to that area to look for tracks but could not find any there either.

\n“The witness returned in his truck to pick me up and we both searched the ground for awhile but found nothing.”
