{"id":4968,"date":"2026-08-13T11:06:31","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T11:06:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/13\/high-school-athlete-finds-venomous-snake-in-helmet\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T11:06:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T11:06:33","slug":"high-school-athlete-finds-venomous-snake-in-helmet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/13\/high-school-athlete-finds-venomous-snake-in-helmet\/","title":{"rendered":"High school athlete finds venomous snake in helmet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-08-13 11:06:31<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A high school football player in the US was shocked to find a venomous snake inside his helmet.<BR><br \/>\nA student at Maumelle High in Arizona felt a strange movement in his headgear after warmups during practice, and asked an assistant coach to take a look at the equipment.<BR><br \/>\nWhen the coach peaked inside, he found a two-foot cottonmouth snake behind the padding.<BR><br \/>\nThe viper apparently had to be encouraged out by police officers pouring water into the helmet.<BR><br \/>\nMoments later, animal services technicians arrived at the scene and revealed the serpent was a deadly cottonmouth, which is the second-most venomous snakes in Arkansas.<BR><br \/>\nAnimal services director Chris Davis was amazed to discover the player had worn the helmet for almost an hour without being bitten.<BR><br \/>\nHe said: &#8220;It was unreal. You had to kind of be there and take pictures to say this was real.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nLargely unfazed, it&#8217;s said the student used a different helmet to finish the practice session.<BR><br \/>\nDavis added: \u201cOne of the officers noticed that it, due to it being big and fat, may have recently ate a couple of days before.<BR><br \/>\n\u201cIt probably was trying to find a dark spot to digest the food, and when it was coming across, it saw a helmet lying on the ground.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nAfter the near miss, the head coach for the team reminded the players to check their equipment before use.<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Visit Bang Bizarre (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2026-08-13 11:06:31 A high school football player in the US was shocked to find a venomous snake inside his helmet.
