That’s happened enough …

“When you’re hearing from just a regular person, a normal person who’s just telling you about something they saw, it’s not difficult if you can talk to them for a while to get a feel.

“Because usually people who are lying, they are nervous, they’re dodgy, they’re kind of defensive, there’s a whole different vibe to it when they’re just making up a story.”

Matthew went on to reveal he usually doesn’t share reports if they are only about strange noises or mysterious footprints – because he’s convinced visual sightings are less open to “misinterpretation”.

He added: “If they hear something though, what people have got to realise is … If you just look at the reports we post, you’d think there were more sightings than sound reports and that’s not the case. We’re not posting most of those sound reports because there’s a potential – even if the people, even if the witnesses truly believe that it was a Bigfoot – they might be wrong.

“Same thing with foot prints … You can’t just tell from talking with the witness if they are believable and credible because they might be believable and credible but they might be wrong about a foot print or a vocalisation. A sighting though, you’re seeing a big eight-foot tall thing with arms and legs, there’s not a lot of room for misinterpretation.”

Visit Bang Bizarre (main website)

2026-08-24 12:00:43 A Bigfoot expert has explained how he spots potential hoaxes – insisting it’s usually easy to tell if someone is lying about a sighting.
