{"id":5121,"date":"2026-09-15T13:01:02","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:01:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/15\/ai-actress-tilly-norwood-leaves-critics-bewildered-with-first-interviews\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T13:01:04","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:01:04","slug":"ai-actress-tilly-norwood-leaves-critics-bewildered-with-first-interviews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/15\/ai-actress-tilly-norwood-leaves-critics-bewildered-with-first-interviews\/","title":{"rendered":"AI actress Tilly Norwood leaves critics &#039;bewildered&#039; with first interviews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2026-09-15 13:01:02<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>The world\u2019s first AI actress has left critics \u201cbewildered\u201d and \u201cunderwhelmed\u201d after doing the promo rounds for new movie Misaligned. <BR><br \/>\nTilly Norwood &#8211; a 24-year-old Brit &#8211; was created by a team of writers, character specialists and technologists, who worked to build Tilly\u2019s \u201cown voice, memories, humour, knowledge, conversational style, understanding of the world and carefully developed boundaries,\u201d according to AI production studio Particle6.<BR><br \/>\nIn a bid to promote the AI-generated movie, Tilly took part in a virtual press junket, where journalists from a select few media outlets were given the chance to \u201cchat\u201d with her. <BR><br \/>\nHowever, the majority of the interviewers were unimpressed, with Variety\u2019s Corbin Bolies calling her \u201cstiff, repetitive and emotionless\u201d <BR><br \/>\nHe concluded of their 20-minute chat: \u201cWhile interviewing a character like Tilly, I wondered whether I was indeed chatting with a striking harbinger of a digital future or what could be an unsettling relic of a moment in time.<BR><br \/>\n\u201cNeither thought left me with any comfort.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nWhile The Hollywood Reporter\u2019s Lily Ford said her interview was \u201cdecidedly creepy\u201d, but insisted: \u201cRevelatory or industry-shattering, it is not.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nShe also said that Tilly had responded to every single question she\u2019d asked her with a question hit back at the interviewer. <BR><br \/>\nLily wrote: \u201cEvery single answer is bookended with a question thrown back to us: \u2018What about you? What was your most awkward age?,\u2019 \u2018Are you just deep in thought, or are you hatching a plan?,\u2019 \u2018Do you often find yourself thinking about the ethics of new technology, Lily?\u2019<BR><br \/>\n\u201cYou can\u2019t help but feel a little embarrassed responding in earnest.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nSusannah Reid and Ed Balls interviewed Tilly \u201clive\u201d on morning TV show Good Morning Britain on Monday (14.09.26), with the former asking her how she felt about AI entities taking jobs from real people.<BR><br \/>\nTilly replied: \u201cIt\u2019s a fair worry and I get why you feel that way. I truly do. But, honestly, I see myself as a new kind of paintbrush, not a replacement for the painters.
