{"id":680,"date":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/10\/man-gets-caught-smuggling-snakes-into-china-down-his-trousers\/"},"modified":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","slug":"man-gets-caught-smuggling-snakes-into-china-down-his-trousers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/04\/man-gets-caught-smuggling-snakes-into-china-down-his-trousers\/","title":{"rendered":"Man gets caught smuggling snakes into China down his trousers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2024-07-10 15:46:58<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>A man has been caught trying to smuggle over 100 live snakes into mainland China by stuffing them down his trousers.<BR><br \/>\nOfficers stopped the unnamed traveller as he attempted to cross from semi-autonomous Hong Kong into Shenzhen, China Customs announced on Tuesday (09.07.24).<BR><br \/>\nA statement read: &#8220;Upon inspection, customs officers discovered that the pockets of the trousers the passenger was wearing were packed with six canvas drawstring bags and sealed with tape.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;Once opened, each bag was found to contain living snakes in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colours.&#8221;<BR><br \/>\nThe officers managed to seize 104 of the reptiles &#8211; including milk snakes and corn snakes &#8211; many of which were non-native species but the smuggler&#8217;s punishment is yet to be revealed.<BR><br \/>\nIn recent years, China has been cracking down on the illegal trade after becoming one of the world&#8217;s biggest hubs for animal trafficking.<BR><br \/>\nThe country&#8217;s laws prohibit bringing in non-native species without permission.<BR><br \/>\nCustoms authorities explained: &#8220;Those who break the rules will be&#8230; held liable in accordance with the law.&#8221;<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangpremier.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Visit Bang Premier (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2024-07-10 15:46:58 A man has been caught trying to smuggle over 100 live snakes into mainland China by stuffing them down his trousers.
