{"id":731,"date":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/18\/kids-hospitalised-after-eating-box-of-adult-only-spicy-crisps\/"},"modified":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:55","slug":"kids-hospitalised-after-eating-box-of-adult-only-spicy-crisps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/04\/kids-hospitalised-after-eating-box-of-adult-only-spicy-crisps\/","title":{"rendered":"Kids hospitalised after eating box of &#039;adult only&#039; spicy crisps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2024-07-18 13:12:40<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Fourteen children have been hospitalised after eating a box of &#8216;rated 18&#8217; spicy crisps.<BR><br \/>\nTokyo&#8217;s Rokugo Koka High School had to call for help after 13 girls and one boy &#8211; all first year students &#8211; were suffering with nausea as well as stomach and mouth pain after a boy shared the &#8220;R18 curry chips&#8221; with 33 members of his class.<BR><br \/>\nOne student had to be taken away in a wheelchair, and Isoyama Corp, the company who manufacturers the extra spicy snack, said it &#8220;sincerely wishes for the swift recovery of those who have reported feeling unwell&#8221;.<BR><br \/>\nThe firm makes a range of other snacks intended for over 18s only, and they warn that even veteran spice-lovers &#8220;should proceed with caution while eating this product&#8221;.<BR><br \/>\nThe company&#8217;s website &#8220;forbids&#8221; under 18s from eating the snack, which are &#8220;so spicy that they may cause you pain&#8221;, with warnings in place for people with weak stomachs, high blood pressure or cuts on their fingers.<BR><br \/>\nThere are also diarrhoea warnings if you consume too many, and so people are urged not to eat them alone <BR><br \/>\nThe products are made with the ghost pepper, also known as bhut jolokia, which is a chilli pepper regarded as one of the spiciest in the world.<BR><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s said to be 170 times hotter than Tabasco sauce.<BR><br \/>\nThe curry crisps &#8211; which are Isoyama Corp&#8217;s flagship snack &#8211; have been available to buy since 2013.<BR><br \/>\nAccording to local reports, the student brought in the crisps &#8220;just for fun&#8221;, and told authorities he had previously enjoyed the snack himself without suffering any side effects, while others tried them and only faced mild symptoms.<br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/bangpremier.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Visit Bang Premier (main website) <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><script src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player\/xtbac.js\" data-video=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2024-07-18 13:12:40 Fourteen children have been hospitalised after eating a box of &#8216;rated 18&#8217; spicy crisps.
