{"id":915,"date":"2025-02-04T16:42:53","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/13\/water-trapped-in-mars-crust-raises-hopes-of-red-planet-life\/"},"modified":"2025-02-04T16:42:53","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:42:53","slug":"water-trapped-in-mars-crust-raises-hopes-of-red-planet-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangbizarre.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/04\/water-trapped-in-mars-crust-raises-hopes-of-red-planet-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Water trapped in Mars crust raises hopes of Red Planet life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2024-08-13 14:06:17<\/b><br \/>\n<BR>Water could be trapped deep inside the crust of Mars.<BR><br \/>\nNASA scientists have discovered a reservoir of liquid water on the Red Planet that has increased hope of discovering other forms of life there.<BR><br \/>\nAnalysis of data from the US space agency&#8217;s Mars Insight Lander revealed &#8220;seismic signals&#8221; of liquid water from deep within the outer crust.<BR><br \/>\nAlthough there is water frozen at the Martian poles, this is the first time that liquid water has been found on Earth&#8217;s neighbour.<BR><br \/>\nWater is an essential element for any form of life and the team admits that their findings give cause for optimism regarding extraterrestrial discoveries.<BR><br \/>\nDr. Vashan Wright, co-author of the research at the University of California San Diego, said: &#8220;The presence of water does not signify that there is life, but water is thought to be an important ingredient for life.<BR><br \/>\n&#8220;We know that life can exist in the deep subsurface of the Earth, where there is water.
