A swan caused major disruption to all trains in Glasgow.

Services descended into chaos for two hours after the bird landed on train tracks on Monday (27.10.25).

ScotRail told passengers that all trains to and from the Scottish city’s Central station were delayed because of “animals on the railway”.

By 6pm, Network Rail updated the public, saying the animal was a swan, and 20 minutes later, the animal was “safely removed” from the train tracks.

A spokesperson for ScotRail said: “Good news, the swan has been moved and is now safely away from the railway.

“It’s a little distressed, but recovering well. Thank you for your patience.”
