A psychic has predicted the winner of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The soccer tournament is currently being held across the US, Canada and Mexico with the final set to take place on July 19 and self-proclaimed psychic Michael Bruno, who has correctly predicted the winners of three previous World Cups, has named Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal side as the 2026 champions.

He told Globo Esporte the prediction dates back several years, explaining: “Since 2022, I’ve been announcing the next champion team. Since then, I’ve been stating that Portugal will be the world champion.”

Bruno went on to reveal his home nation team of Brazil won’t make it to the final as they will exit the tournament earlier than expected, which he puts down to the fitness of their star player Neymar who has been struggling with injury.

He said: “I don’t believe Neymar is 100 per cent fit to play in this World Cup. And if he does play, once again, the national team will be eliminated before the semi-finals, because the team will be playing around him, repeating the tactical mistake of 2022.”

Bruno – correctly predicted the winners of the 2010, 2014, and 2018 soccer World Cups – went on to claim another World Cup favourite – Argentina – are likely to go out in the quarterfinals but it will depend on the luck of the draw.

He added the other teams which will perform well will be France, England and Spain.

Another Brazilian psychic, Vo Baiana, has also given her predictions for the later stages of the competition – revealing she thinks the winners will be either France, Spain or England.

Baiana – who has more than 23 million followers on Instagram – previously predicted an alien invasion would take place during her home side’s clash with Scotland in Miami, Florida Miami on June 24 and the players would be abducted in front of horrified fans.

However, the alien invasion did not take place as expected and Baiana later insisted she never said the invasion was confirmed and she was just sharing the contents of a dream she had twice in the run-up to the tournament.

During an appearance on Central Splash after the match, she explained: “Anyone who watched my video will see that I said: ‘Guys, I had a dream’. When I dreamed it the second time, it felt very real …

“At no point did I say it [the alien invasion] was guaranteed.”
