Bagpipe music could be used to ward off an alien invasion.
David Kerr, who is a member of the Laidlaw Memorial Pipe Band, has revealed he’s been in touch with astronautics entrepreneur Chris Stott, the head of Lonestar Data Holdings which is developing plans to store data centres on the Moon and send the band’s music into space with their first launch.
Kerr told the BBC: “Imagine you’re a Martian, you’re just about to invade Earth, you’re hiding in the moon … and suddenly you meet the martial music of the bagpipe.
“[Stott] said: ‘It’s time we had a pipe band in space, so what we’re going to do is put you into a thing called a data centre, record some tunes and we’re going to fire you onto the moon’.”
Kerr went on to joke: “I imagine he thought this would be the first part of the Earth’s alien defence system. The alien’s would turn tail and head back to Mars.”
Lonestar Data Holdings’s launches start in 2027 and the pipe band’s music is due to to be sent into space later that year.
The news comes after a UFO expert claimed the USA is holding back “vastly more consequential” evidence which points to the existence of aliens.
President Donald Trump’s government is shining a light on decades of sightings of unidentified flying objects by releasing documents through the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) with believers and sceptics all combing through the piles of proof which have been made public in a series of four document dumps.
The releases have featured photos, videos and reports from agencies including the FBI, the CIA, and NASA, and Dr Steven Greer, founder of The Disclosure Project and the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, is convinced there are more shocking revelations yet to come.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: “My understanding is that they’ve been advised to go slow on it, and to only release fairly much inconsequential material. I don’t agree with that strategy …
“The archive we have, it’s 36 years of accumulated evidence and whistleblower testimony and videos and photos and documents and government documents from all over the world, is vastly more consequential than what they released in these last four tranches.”
Greer went on to insist he’s calling for more files to be released, adding: “We’re trying to make sure that the public and also the political leaders have access to more material than they’re seeing through these Department of War and White House releases to date.”
However, he believes it may take years for the most crucial files to be made available to the public but he hopes it will happen close to the end of the Trump administration in 2028/29.
He told the publication: “I think more will be coming. I think they’re trying to do a slow roll, stretching out towards the end of the Trump administration.”
