An expert has claimed Bigfoot never attacks humans because the mythical creature is “too intelligent” to put itself in danger.

Matthew Moneymaker, who runs the the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), is convinced the creature known as sasquatch has evaded detection for hundreds of years because it knows it needs to avoid humans in order to survive insisting many other animals who attack as a defensive mechanism have ended up extinct.

During an appearance on Fox News’ Planet Tyrus podcast, Matthew explained: “The [Bigfoot] encounters are all the same – the thing turns around and leaves … That’s a level of intelligence too because they know it’s not going to do them any good to interact with people, it puts them in danger so they just turn around and leave … “

He added: “[So many species like the California grizzly bear] are all excextinct because as soon as they would see any kind of intruder, a human or a human on horseback, they would just make a beeline and attack. Small brained animal … So not attacking has a survival advantage.”

Matthew also insisted a Bigfoot might try to scare humans into leaving its territory but they would do so without “physically attacking”.

He said: “They might try to intimidate and scare but they don’t need to do more than that because that always works … If they don’t want to just immediately leave, if it’s dark and they really want you to leave the area, they’ll do things in a way that doesn’t put them in danger …

“If you turn on a spotlight, they’re going to be just far enough behind trees so you can’t shoot ’em. But they’ll still make you uncomfortable all night long so you don’t want to stay there.

“So they know how to get you out of the area without physically attacking you.”

Matthew’s Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) logs and investigates potential sightings of the fabled creature. The most recent report occurred on July 28 from a motorist who claimed to have spotted a “nine-foot tall hairy critter” lurking close to woodland in Colorado and discovered a “bare footprint”.

Lori Bowling was driving through Hinsdale County with her husband Bill on July 28 and she was looking out of the window attempting to spot wildlife when she saw a massive creature emerge from the woods.

Lori wrote: “What I saw was plain as day. Trust me when I say I am not a Bigfoot believer, but after what I saw I sure in the hell am now! “It wasn’t a shadow, not a glimpse. I was looking out the window looking for deer, moose etc. when out stepped from the edge of the woods a BIGFOOT. “I watched as he turned to the right and started to walk uphill along the edge of the woods. Its gait was a glide.

“The color was a dark blackish brown. The head was kind of moulded into the shoulders. The arms were long and very hairy. I would bet it stood seven-nine foot tall based on the size of the small spruce trees.

“I have never been stumped for words, but this was a numbing experience. I couldn’t get the words out to tell Bill to stop the truck and tell him what I saw.

“I saw this critter take four to five big gliding steps before it left my view due to the road curve.

“I want to tell everyone, but I think they will think I am nuts. I saw what I saw and now that’s all I think about. Kind of spooky and exciting all at once.”
