A magician wants to clone himself.
John Van Der Put, 45, has already splurged £50,000 to clone his dog-and-sidekick, Mr. Piffles, for his residency at Flamingo City, Las Vegas, and now he wants to go one step further and copy himself so that he can chill out whilst his double does even more shows.
The America’s Got Talent trickster – who calls himself a “modern day” version of the legendary comic, Tommy Cooper – is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I am ready to become the world’s first cloned human entertainer.
“We cloned the dogs for the show, now we are looking at increasing my opportunities. What better way than with two of me?
“We’ve got to get a few more Piff the Magic Dragons out there. And I can just lay by the pool in Vegas for the rest of my life.
“If we’re cloning dogs, somebody’s cloning a person somewhere. That’s definitely happening.
“So if you’re out there, give me a call. I’ve got business for you.”
